Is it legal for a corporation to not put the corporate members name on the contract?

As I mentioned before, a person from a U.S. corporation is trying to "buy" my last U.S. patent from me. The question is, why this person (who contacted and sent me that horrible contract by e-mail) is not also providing his name in the bottom (below I would sign) of the last page, so he also can sign his signature in that contract? Instead of him, another "corporate" person has his name to sign...Why? What is the trick behind this? Your thoughts please...
